An Ethical Violation: Fact Check TV

Two Democrats are vying to represent District 4 residents in an upcoming special election but that hasn’t stopped the conservative Lincoln Club of San Diego County from getting involved in the race.

The Lincoln Club, which is backing candidate Dwayne Crenshaw, circulated a mailer that made a handful of claims against Crenshaw’s opponent, Myrtle Cole.

In the latest edition of Fact Check TV, Scott Lewis and I focused on a statement about Cole’s role in an ethics commission investigation involving former Councilman Tony Young.

We also vetted Councilman Kevin Faulconer’s recent claim that Mayor Bob Filner’s proposed budget skips a year in terms of funding for street repairs.
