The SEC Came to the Secret Council Meeting??
Published: Friday, September 15, 2006 12:32 PM PDT
I was a little shocked to see in the headline in the U-T today:
Council, SEC meet in closed session.
I thought my colleagues here in the news department missed something. But no, the SEC did not meet with the council in closed session yesterday. They just didn't. That would have defeated part of the purpose of meeting in closed session.
It was surely a mistake. I make plenty of mistakes too. But this one needs a big fat correction because it's just plain wrong -- and it was the headline.
