More Things Hunter

This is an interesting analysis of a potential post-Duncan Hunter race for the 52nd Congressional seat. It's a bit overly fawning of Hunter, but still worth the read if you're hooked on politics.

But Barry Jantz, in his speculation, misses one potential candidate for the 52nd if you want to assume Hunter does leave the seat: Steve Francis. The chairman of AMN Healthcare, who spent big to become mayor of San Diego but just came up short in the Republican vote to Jerry Sanders, is doing everything to position himself as a political force in San Diego.

I heard Francis is aiming for Hunter's spot. Then again, Francis' name comes up for most potential political openings in the area.
