The BLS Weighs in
Don't worry , this should be the last entry about San Diego's population growth or lack thereof.
After writing the prior piece, it finally occurred to me to bring a third data-gathering organization into the mix. The chart to the right shows that according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, San Diego's labor force growth (which could be expected to trend in the same direction as overall population) has been positive in recent years.
Final score: two out of three giant government number-crunching bureaucracies maintain that, while the rate of increase has slowed in recent years, San Diego's population was still growing as of 2005.
