Next Week: Tenth Avenue
Published: Friday, October 3, 2008 6:03 PM PDT
Election Day is a month away, and chances are if you've heard about it, you have an opinion about the proposed 10th Avenue Marine Terminal ballot initiative.
All next week, Café San Diego will feature debates on the initiative. We'll kick off Monday with two-time mayoral candidate Peter Q. Davis who has served on the Port Commission and the city's downtown redevelopment board, speaking for the pro-side. Sharon Clower of the San Diego Port Tenants Association will speak against the measure on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will be open for both sides to respond.
Regardless of how you feel about putting a new sports facility or a 30-story hotel smack atop one of the city's biggest sources of commerce, you'll want to tune in.
