Prop B is an effort by a small group of real estate speculators who are trying to gull the voters into forcing the Port District to give them control of some of San Diego's most valuable downtown waterfront property. Voters should turn this initiative down flat. This effort would have never gotten started if the San Diego Unified Port District didn't have such a poor history of ignoring the wishes of the public in its rush to pave over our downtown bayfront publically owned tidelands with highrise hotels and tourist facilities to benefit fat cats like Doug Manchester. The Port Commissioners insensitivity toward the needs of the public is coming back to bite them in the behind. Despite that, let's all hope the voters see though this latest scam and vote no on Prop B.
