It was a familiar story for the San Diego Padres on Sunday afternoon, where another strong performance by a starting pitcher and some timely hitting by the team's young stars led San Diego to a 4-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
San Diego's fifth consecutive win came with a veteran performance by Jason Marquis, who gave up three runs in 6.2 innings after struggling through the 1st inning.
It marked the fourth consecutive victory for the Padres, as well as the team's first complete game of the season.
