Friday, May 05, 2006 | City Council members continue to make comments that they plan to carve out a budget for the upcoming year that is different than the mayor’s proposal, with many saying they want to better fund the cash-strapped city’s police force and graffiti removal efforts.

Goldstone and Tevlin said that both of their offices will be recommending changes to suit the council’s wants. Goldstone said his changes were “clean-up items,” and Tevlin said that her office will present changes to departmental allocations.
