I just did a search for apartment rental agencies in San Diego – not because I want to find a new apartment to rent, but because I’m doing a story on where San Diego rents are headed in 2006.
One thing I thought was interesting is that the first four hits that popped up on the White Pages Web site were all screaming at me not to consider renting when I can buy.
“$7,000 Foreclosures. Homes from $7,000. HUD – Homes for Sale. 1-3 Bedrooms Available. These Homes Must Sell. 1st Time Buyers, Act Now! Call Now for Listings,” shouts one.
“$199/Mo. Buy Homes From $199 per Month Bank Foreclosures, HUD Homes, VA, FSBO & More. 4% Down, 30 Years @ 5.5% APR. These Homes Won’t Last. Call Now for Listings,” says another.
Wow. I didn’t know I could buy a house in San Diego for less than $200 a month. I should give them a call.
