We’re not as safe as No. 1 Milwaukee. But we’re not as disaster prone as No. 49 New Orleans or No. 50 Miami. And we’re looking better than our California friends on the natural-disaster safety list compiled by SustainLane.com: Oakland (48), San Francisco (47), San Jose (45) and Los Angeles (43).

The website, which bills itself as a resource for healthy and sustainable living, “wondered how the 50 largest cities in the nation stacked up against natural disaster risk.” It looked at which cities were likely to face hurricanes, earthquakes, catastrophic flooding and tornado super-outbreaks.

Maybe I should have stayed in my hometown. Is voiceofmilwaukee.org taken yet?
