Thursday, July 20, 2006 | There is much more to the story that lurks beneath the surface.

Numerous city insiders have described the bridge as a done deal for the last few years. It has been pushed by developers including the wealthy Evans family interests who own the Henry’s Marketplace shopping center on Regents Road. The bridge is a useless boondoggle proposal that promises to flush out the people who continue to sell the city out to developers.

Don’t be surprised if the inevitable litigation to follow reveals the same old San Diego story of corrupt incompetence from venal elected officials.
