Wednesday, July 26, 2006 | Keith Taylor, and those who voice similar resentments about the cross, sound just plain mean-spirited and cranky. I think it is comical that he admonishes our Senators not to represent the majority, but rather the minority of cranks who are bothered by the cross. What about the new Mormon church? You couldn’t get more ostentatious than that. But, none of the crosses, Menorah’s, temples, or other symbols harms those of us who were not part of the choice to erect them. In fact, I enjoy them as works of art, symbols, shapes, and color against the sky. For those reasons, I’d like to see them remain.
