Les Girard, the former assistant city attorney at the city of San Diego, has been retained by National City as part of that city’s push to host the Chargers new football stadium, Girard has confirmed.

The National City City Council is scheduled to vote tomorrow on whether to pursue talks with the football team.

Girard worked on special projects in San Diego, including Chargers and Padres issues, before leaving for private practice last year.
