Earlier today, on this page, I mentioned that developer Doug Manchester explained on KPBS’ “These Days,” why he insists on being called Papa Doug.

But then, I left readers hanging.

Upon inquiry from “These Days’” host Tom Fudge, Manchester told listeners earlier this morning that his son (Doug) “is not a Jr.,” and that for “the integrity of his name,” the elder Manchester took on the name Papa Doug 15 years ago.
