Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006 | Re: “Chamber Backs Miramar over Qualcomm Objections” by Rob Davis.

The above headline is not surprising considering the fact that Niki Clay, a San Diego lobbyist and a figure who associates with the downtown in-group, is Chairwoman of the Chamber Board of Directors.

If you were watching the Kroll presentation on Tuesday, Aug. 8, Clay was the first person to request that the City Council adopt the Kroll report as presented.

At the time, she had yet to read the report much less study it.

Prior to the beginning of the presentation, she was seen acting coy (my opinion) with the mayor.

I opine that Clay will go with the wind if it is to her advantage and she can impress city officials.
