Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 | Dear Mr. Donohue, Thank you for the articles about our current lack of a county fire department and the efforts to form one. It’s such an important topic that’s not covered elsewhere.
With growth in the outlying areas, particularly of expensive homes, we will be seeing more fires in the unincorporated areas. Unfortunately, they may become a regular feature of life as they have in the greater Los Angeles area.
