Some thought heads would roll after the release of the Kroll report. Well, at least one head has rolled, though it might not be so recognizable.

Mayor Jerry Sanders has asked Conny Jamison, former city treasurer and pension trustee, to step down from her seat as board member of the Data Processing Corp.

Investigators at Kroll opined that Jamison breached her fiduciary duty in agreeing to the first of two pension deals now at the heart of the city’s financial troubles, as well as numerous lawsuits and prosecutions.

The Mayor’s Office confirmed that Jamison had been asked to step down. Jamison obliged in an Aug. 11 letter to Sanders.

She is one of more than 35 people named in the Kroll report as having breached a fiduciary duty, committed securities fraud or been negligent in fulfilling a duty to the city or investors.

Data Processing oversees the nonprofit corporation that handles the city’s information technology.
