We tried contacting Peter Navarro, a former economist at University of California, San Diego, for our story last week about Richard Carson, who has gotten involved in the Miramar debate.
We couldn’t reach Navarro, who unsuccessfully ran for several public offices on an anti-growth/slow-growth platform during the 1990s.
Navarro, now at University of California, Irvine, dropped us an e-mail after the story ran. Here’s what he had to say:
Richard’s the smartest economist I know as well as one of the world’s most honest brokers. You can quote me.
Thanks, we will.
