Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006 | This article is just another attempt to portray illegals as victims of American society and place the blame on us. They are not just “migrants” or “undocumented”; they are people who violated our laws in crossing the border and now want free living space in land owned by others or the city.

They have no intent of coming here to be American citizens. They send most of their money to Mexico while filling our jails, our hospital emergency rooms, our welfare rolls, and using our citizen-paid services. They have anchor babies we pay to deliver and then want to stay because of their children.

I am sorry for Pablo Payan, but he and his country created his predicament. He is living for free rent on the land of others. It is time (the second or more) to clear out these canyons and send the illegals back. We cannot support the poor people of Mexico any longer.

If you feel so sorry for him Mr. Stumpf, then you take him in and provide his housing and see his start toward citizenship. Just don’t expect others of us to pay for your guilt trip.
