When I last had the honor to BLOG here, I wrote an item critical about the Gaylord project on the Chula Vista waterfront. I wasn’t criticizing Chula Vista – all the more power to them – I was commenting on the impacts to San Diego. Coincidentally and completely unrelated, a few weeks later, Scott Lewis wrote an opinion piece (and a few BLOG pieces later) on the wisdom of police officers leaving our City for Chula Vista.

You can’t imagine how many folks think that the two were part of some big conspiracy. Not true.

Scott and I only coordinate our opinions/statements on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Our pieces appeared on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. So, see? No coordination possible.

Just kidding – seriously – a little levity.

But seriously, drop the conspiracy theories folks. Scott and I never spoke about our unrelated items.
