I just caught up with Jim McElroy, the attorney for Philip Paulson, the atheist and Vietnam War Veteran who has served as the lead plaintiff in the 17-year legal saga over the Mount Soledad Cross.
McElroy said the news that Paulson has been diagnosed with terminal cancer would not impact his determination to move forward with the case.
“Nothing was going to dissuade me from perusing this to my last breath,” McElroy said. “But certainly hearing this news about Phil will only spur me on to see that Phil gets justice in this case – whether posthumous or not.”
Just in case anyone had doubts.
