A consortium of city and county officials have scheduled a 10:30 a.m. press conference today to propose a “memorandum of understanding” related to the Chargers’ push for a football stadium.

The idea of a city-county partnership has been bandied about in recent months. The two municipalities formed a joint-powers authority in the 1960s in order to aid the construction of what is now Qualcomm Stadium in Mission Valley.
