Let me get this straight. So two county supervisors, the mayor, Mike Aguirre and Scott Peters get together for a “historic” announcement about the Chargers situation. (Shameless plug alert!) I was on the radio when the news broke. But I got back and heard something was going on. Then I see this news.

So now I think I’m clear on what they announced. It goes something like this:

We, the collected leaders of the city and county of San Diego, are here to announce a plan to get together to do a study that will show us how to form a plan to do something (we don’t yet know what it is) that will facilitate the construction of a new stadium for the San Diego Chargers.

Now please, friends and countrymen, won’t you recognize our collective achievement and leadership on this issue?

Duly recognized.

SCOTT LEWIS
