I’m putting the finishing touches on the “Full Focus” script for today before I head to the studio to sit down with a murderer to discuss the death penalty. William Neal Moore spent almost 17 years on death row in Georgia and was just hours from execution when his sentence was commuted to life. He was released on parole, the only one that got such dispensation from the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles. I’ll learn more about why Moore was treated differently than all the others facing death and how he is using his unexpected years on this earth. Every day on “Full Focus” gives me – and you – something different to think about. For me, it’s like changing my college major on a daily basis.

With only seven weeks to election, I guess I’ll be pursuing a degree in political science or ethics or clinical psychology.
