Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006 | In Tuesday’s Union-Tribune there was an editorial, “Message Needed.” If you haven’t seen it read it because I think some questions need to be answered.

Did I miss something, somewhere? How is it that the Union-Tribune has all of this “inside” information and the public is shut out of these “closed door sessions”? There is something terribly wrong here!

If it is true that the SEC has warned five City Council members they could face SEC civil charges for wrong doing, why wasn’t the public informed? Why is the mayor protecting the City Council?

I thought Jerry Sanders was elected mayor because he was going to fight corrupt government, not become part of it. Is he condoning this cloak of deception by keeping the SEC declaration “under wraps?”

What else are they hiding? How can we trust any of them?
