Mayor Jerry Sanders’ two ballot propositions will be debated at two lunchtime events next week.
- The Downtown San Diego Partnership will feature a debate at the Gaslamp Marriot on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
City Councilman Kevin Faulconer and Performance Institute President Carl DeMaio will argue in favor of Propositions B and C; Center on Policy Initiatives executive director Donald Cohen and League of Women Voters vice president Norma Damashek will dispute the initiatives.

- The Catfish Club is sponsoring a voter forum at the San Diego Hall of Champions on Friday at noon.
Sanders and City Attorney Mike Aguirre will be on hand to espouse the benefits of Propositions B and C, and representatives from the San Diego Police Officers Association and the League of Women Voters will be there to challenge them.
