Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006 | Chargers mouthpiece Fabiani finally told the truth – the Spanos Clan has been draining the city of funds for years. By his own estimates, we are now paying over $25 million every year in subsidies to the private owners of the Chargers football entertainment business. This while our sewers spill, roads crumble, and public amenities close. We can now, finally and forever, disregard all those false claims about the Chargers contributing to our community. Even Fabiani admits they have cost us dearly.

Beware National City and Chula Vista! Can you afford to give over $25 million a year to these people? We know the city of San Diego can’t.
