OK, now for the real reason for the election season…let’s predict some winners and losers.
Local Propositions.
Prop A narrowly wins because more people live in the North and South County than would be impacted by the airport at Miramar.
Prop B wins decisively because San Diegans are disgusted with the mess at City Hall and want reform.
Prop C wins in a close election despite the effort to scare voters into believing ROBOCOP will replace their familiar boys (and girls) in blue.
State Propositions.
Props 1A-E all win…hooray for infrastructure!
Prop 84 also wins…hooray for more infrastructure (and clean water to boot)!
What else…the tobacco tax is going up because more people don’t smoke than do (and the hospitals need some serious coin to compensate for the free care they give), but not property taxes or gas taxes (my SUV just belched a smog cloud of relief).
Eminent domain is still viable in California and so is being a politically involved business person.
Sex offenders need to move on…and best not get pregnant if you’re a minor.
Those are my thoughts…what are yours?
