Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 | Michael Zucchet was convicted by a jury of his peers…plain and simple. His corruption scandal involved one count of conspiracy, five counts of wire fraud, and three counts of extortion. That a local judge felt it was appropriate to dismiss his conviction, reminds me of small town corruption in some backwoods town down south.

That Carole Lam has brought in the Feds to investigate this, says a great deal about her character. Perhaps she is as disgusted with a judge’s corrupt efforts to help Zucchet as the rest of us.

It’s time Zucchet served alongside his pals who helped him extort money!
