Ramona Finnila, a former Carlsbad City Councilwoman and chairwoman of the McClellan-Palomar Airport’s advisory committee, says she has been appointed to the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.

Finnila had been waiting to hear from incoming Encinitas Mayor Jim Bond, who wanted to confirm Finnila’s appointment with his fellow council members. That will still happen, Finnila said, but is a technicality because she has support from other North County mayors.

Finnila and other incoming board members will be sworn in Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The authority’s lame-duck board members will hold one final meeting, Monday at 10 a.m.

The agenda for that meeting is here.
