So here are some sobering stats just released as part of the district attorney’s anti-drunk driving holiday campaign:

This year, 11,000 people in San Diego County have been charged with driving under the influence, 1,000 have been charged with felony DUIs because someone was injured or killed in a crash, and 16 people have been killed as the result of a drunk driver.
