The county’s Department of Environmental Health has reduced the beach closure in southern San Diego.

It’s OK to swim and surf again at Imperial Beach. (Even in those ankle-biter waves today.)

It’s not such a good idea to swim between the border and the south end of Seacoast Drive. The reason? Lingering sewage contaminated runoff from the Tijuana River.
