San Diegans oppose the City Council’s ban on big-box grocers such as Wal-Mart Supercenters, according to a poll released today.

About 57 percent of the poll’s respondents said they oppose the ban, and 37 percent said they support the law. You can view the results here.

The survey was conducted by the San Diego Institute for Policy Research, a think tank former mayoral candidate Steve Francis recently founded, and Competitive Edge Research.
