The 2006-2007 Broadway San Diego season will continues into September 2007 with an impressive roster of shows: “Altar Boyz,” the boy-band spoof that’s been a hit Off-Broadway, “Hairspray,” “Stomp,” “All Shook Up,” “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” and audience favorite “Chicago.”

The 2007-2008 season looks to be just as impressive, bringing back some classic favorites such as “Jesus Christ Superstar” (the Farewell Tour, which reads sort of funny) and “Camelot.” I’m anticipating the return of “The Phantom of the Opera,” having never seen it. “Cats” and “Mamma Mia!” are extra season events. “Mamma Mia!” must be a successful touring production — it’s been here at least twice before.

There’s also a mystery show. Check out the Broadway San Diego website, which is touting a “Broadway Mega-Hit” to be announced. Anyone have a guess?
