Couple of points:

  • I’m interested to see how this goes today: Port Commissioner Stephen Cushman is hosting the Café. He’s being diplomatic, but it’s pretty clear he’s not very thrilled with County Supervisor Ron Roberts and Steve Peace’s grand vision for San Diego’s waterfront — and he wants to talk about it.
  • If you’re a baseball fan, check out Cheap Seats. It’s got a little more life these days.
  • In case you missed it, surfing’s gone yuppie. If I ever need publicity and I have money to spend, I’m hiring whoever has spread the message about that Surf Diva school. It seems like every few months I see a major news story — with a picture of someone having a lot of fun — about it.
  • Finally, of course, the MonDiego Tube. I thought about putting up a 30-second clip I found of those weird three-wheel motor vehicles that were being escorted around town this weekend. But you probably saw them too.

Instead, I thought this was pretty cool.
