The City Council unanimously decided to delay its vote on a bonus program for affordable housing developers Tuesday in order to better study its possible impacts on the city’s building requirements. The vote is now scheduled for March 27.

Jim Waring, the city’s land use chief, said Mayor Jerry Sanders thought it was appropriate to push back the vote because of the city attorney’s release of an alternate version of the law late last week.
