Gaylord Entertainment, the developer for the Chula Vista bay-front’s convention center and resort, will present conceptual designs for its 400,000-square-foot project at two March 15 meetings.

Gaylord is currently in negotiations with the city of Chula Vista and the Port District about the project’s financing. The two public agencies have preliminarily agreed to subsidize the project with more than $300 million of their own money.

The two-hour meetings will be held at 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively, at the City Council Chambers, located at 276 Fourth Ave. in Chula Vista.

Update: The Port District initially announced, and we reported, that one meeting on the subject would be held at Just Java Cafe. Please note the additional meeting and the location change.
