News reports say President Bush will address today at 2:45 p.m. the fallout from the ouster of a number of U.S. attorneys nationwide, including San Diego’s Carol Lam. The New York Times also has this update on the White House’s offer to have Karl Rove meet with Congressional investigators.

Update: Here’s the newest from The New York Times on the speech, in which Bush offered his support for AG Alberto Gonzales and vowed to fight Democrats’ attempts to subpoena his top aides.
