Councilwoman Donna Frye claimed ownership worth more than $100,000 in Skip Frye Surfboads, the company run by her husband and located in the Linda Vista area she represents on council.

The councilwoman also reported raising $1,500 in political donations to pay back a loan she made to her 2004 mayoral campaigns.

She also received several gifts from environmentalists and urban planners. The California and San Diego chapters of the American Planning Association treated her to awards dinners. Save Hillcrest, which opposes the controversial 301 University Ave. development, gave Frye a $50 glass vase award and the Ecological Options Network donned her with an $80 DVD set.
