County Supervisor Greg Cox received between $10,001 and $100,000 in income last year from his rental of a Big Bear condo, according to his statement of economic interests released this week. His wife, Chula Vista Mayor Cheryl Cox, earned the same range from her part-time employment with National University.
Greg Cox also received $7,678 from the California State Association of Counties for his travel and lodging expenses as the advocacy group’s immediate past president. He received another $1,992 for expenses during his service on the CSAC’s Finance Corp.’s board of directors.
The supervisor’s largest investment is the more than $100,000 he has invested with Wedbush Morgan Securities Inc., a financial advisory and investment concern.
Cox received a total of $1,140.83 in gifts last year. The largest came from Cox Communications, which gave him two tickets to the Padres’ 2006 Opening Day. (The Padres dropped the Giants 6-1.)
