Wednesday, April 4, 2007 | When cops start deciding not to enforce a judicial directive, and when cops are supported in that outrageous usurpation of authority by local establishment figures like the district attorney, the sheriff, morning public radio, as well as the editorial, news and letters column of our only daily paper, I start to question whether San Diego really is paradise.

We can dance on the head of the pin, as in this belated piece from a lawyer in the offending cop’s office, or we can thank City Attorney Mike Aguirre for standing up for what’s right in the face of a barrage of establishment abuse.
