Tuesday, April 10, 2007 | With Mayor Sanders promising to cut 660 positions (including 300 positions now filled by real people) let’s see how many supervisory and higher level positions are cut.

The mayor also needs to “flatten out” the organization chart in all departments, including police and fire departments. There are too many people in the chain of command making big money who do not make the city more efficient or effective.

A good start can be made by wiping out the Office of Integrity (Ethics Department) when we read that they solved such large problems as getting a restroom to work properly, disciplining employees for using a doll in an offensive manner, etc.
