San Diego Fire Chief Tracy Jarman is scheduled Thursday to relay her concerns about fire season, fire prevention and how residents can keep themselves safe.
This is the driest year in 90 years in San Diego, according to the San Diego Fire Department.
Jarman is expected to give her comments at an 11:30 a.m. press conference.
