Friday, May 4, 2007 | Hi, my name is David Moye and you might remember me from the columns I write on Fridays.

After 20 months, I am moving on to other projects, and rather than writing a “last column” where I discuss the meaning of life, I thought I’d say a few words here.

Thanks to everyone who ever read the column and to everyone who didn’t but said they did. I also thank everyone who knew someone who read the column. I also want to thank the folks who sent me personal e-mails either praising me, or chiding me. Either way, it meant you were reading (hopefully, not too close because, looking back, I’m sure I made some terrible punctuation errors while hastily getting to the rimshot).

I especially want to thank voiceofsandiego.org for giving me a voice, especially editors Scott Lewis and Andrew Donohue and news assistant Molly Bettiga, who always had a kind word to soothe a nervous writer.
