San Diego Unified School District board member Mitz Lee is mulling whether to run for the District 5 seat that will be vacated by termed-out City Councilman Brian Maienschein next year.
Lee told me she would make a final decision by the end of the month.
A Republican, Lee said her tenure would represent a “continuation” of Maienschein’s priorities and his focus on district work.
Lee also said she was not very pleased with the article penned by Superintendent Carl Cohn evaluating the federal No Child Left Behind Act, which I wrote about last week. Lee said the piece represented a “defeatist attitude” that she said worried her.
