I just spoke with Assemblywoman Lori Saldaña, who called to criticize the Bajagua report released yesterday.

Saldaña, one of Bajagua’s most vocal critics, said she was disappointed that the report’s author, environmental attorney Cory Briggs, had not interviewed her until last week, after initially announcing the report had been completed.

Saldaña, D-San Diego, chided the report for failing to note a Fair Political Practices Commission fine lodged against Bajagua’s predecessor, Agua Clara LLC, in 2002. The $400 penalty was for failing to file a campaign donation statement in 2002.

“It became something that it looks like to me is shoddy research,” she said. “How can you not look up something that basic?”
