Yesterday, the FBI arrested three individuals at the Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino, according to the Barona Gaming Commission.

The three individuals were involved in a nationwide racketeering conspiracy, the commission alleges. That racketeering involved cheating schemes during blackjack and mini baccarat games and involved card dealers, the Gaming Commission said.

Here’s an extract from the press release:

According to Harold Hill, Barona Gaming Commission chairman, “The Gaming Commission has been aware of this enterprise for quite some time and has been working in conjunction with the FBI to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.” Mr. Hill added that, “Barona is one of many casinos throughout the nation that have been targets of this scheme. The perpetrators targeted the casino, not other gamblers and Barona’s customers were not affected.”
