Ok, I know it’s been a long weekend. A long, sunny, weekend at that. A long, sunny weekend with decent surf, too.

I know SLOP has been hanging five on his longboard all weekend and doubtless a lot of other people out there took a few days off from their laptops, Blackberrys and desktop computers.

But, if you haven’t already, go back and take a look at the Q&A we published with Los Angeles Times photojournalist Don Bartletti over the weekend. I think it was one of the most interesting interviews I have done in a long time.

Bartletti, a Pulitzer Prize winner, lives in Vista and is extremely active in capturing images that define San Diego and Southern California.

He didn’t take the weekend off. He was down on the border taking photographs of the remnants of the Minutemen.
