County Supervisor Greg Cox will run for re-election. The supervisor formed a campaign fundraising committee this week.
In a news release, Cox said he’d formally announce his candidacy at a September kick-off.
Cox was first elected in 1995; he cruised to re-election in 2004, winning 82 percent of the vote against challenger Petra Barajas.
