Monday, June 4, 2007 | As an engineer with 40 years of experience and numerous engineering articles pertaining to the safety of the American people, please keep up the pressure with the City Council to enforce Mayor Sanders back on the track of safety. It seems to me that Sanders may be somewhat involved in the decision making process to allow the height limitations to be “bent.” Special treatment is not allowed here. A thorough investigation should be started to find the answers as to why this organization was allowed to build a structure exceeding the height limitations. One thing in our favor, we have the Federal Aviation group also declaring a major wrong-doing in breaking the law. If special treatment is allowed with this issue, then another organization will have a track record to rely on in construction of a structure beyond the height limitation. We have to be very firm and adamant on this issue.
