Wednesday, June 6, 2007 | Our city officials are exploring how much water and how much terra firma comprise Mission Bay — with the goal of seeing how many hotels can be built in a public park — but how come there hasn’t been one word in voiceofsandiego.org about the literally stunning plan to build a Spongebob Squarepants Hotel/fortress over at the former Naval Training Center aka Liberty Station? Are you too shocked to opine? Or do you just figure it will be good for the economy of this tourist destination?
